Alan Barratt

Alan Barratt has been involved in pioneering the UK sports nutrition industry since he was 14 years old, and this year represents his 28th year in the health and fitness area. He has worked in every sector during that time including being a personal trainer, managing large privately-owned health and fitness clubs, owning a supplement import and distribution business and finally co-founding and running a successful brand. Outside of his work he is an avid car enthusiast, enjoys clay pigeon shooting, and loves lots of different disciplines of fitness and weight training.

Grenade is now a household name, and one of the fastest growing brands in the UK. Founded in 2010 by Alan & Juliet Barratt, the brand has won a multitude of awards for its innovative products. As a £500 startup from a spare bedroom at home, the Barratts sold shares in Grenade in March 2017 valuing the business at £72M.
